Guidance Department

Mission Statement

The counselor's role is to assist and encourage the student especially in his academic, personal, and emotional development throughout the seminary years.  In order to accomplish this task, each student meets with his counselor at least once every quarter of the school year.  The counselor will help the student evaluate his own progress in his schoolwork and in his personal relationships with God, himself and others.

The counselor represents the student in his relationship with the Rector, the Vice-Principal for Academic Affairs, and the various Deans, acting as the liaison between the student and administration.  The counselor maintains communication with parents in order to assist the student's academic, behavioral, emotional and social growth.  When necessary, referrals for educational/psychological evaluation and counseling will be made to the parents/guardians.
