St. Joseph Seminary College

St. Joseph College Seminary is the undergraduate seminary program of the Archdiocese of Chicago. The seminary is located on the campus of Loyola University in Chicago. Our faculty, our staff, and our college seminarians are committed to the formation of a vibrant community centered in the mind and heart of Jesus Christ. Through programs of spiritual formation, apostolic work, and academic excellence, our college seminarians have the opportunity to develop into well-educated, well-balanced Catholic men and to discern the Call to serve the Church and society as Catholic priests.

Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary

Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary is the high school seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  We invite interested, selected young men from the diverse racial, ethnic and cultural background of our Church to consider becoming priests for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Our Spiritual Formation Program encompasses all in the Mission Statement above as we strive to help each student/seminarian develop a healthy sense of respect and understanding of himself, his relationship with others, and his relationship with God; as he grows and matures physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. As a seminary, a community of prayer, we encourage our students to reflect on their personal God-given talents and how they will be called to use these gifts to enrich society and our Church.

We teach our seminarians to listen for God's call in their lives in their four years with us, and to ponder this call as they begin to make choices for life after high school. We challenge our students to think about serving the Church as a priest in the future and we ask them if they feel called to continue on to St. Joseph Seminary, the college level seminary for the Archdiocese of Chicago.
