Chessnuts Triumph!
Quigley's Chessnuts scored impressive victories in
the recent Illinois state chess tournament.
Quigley placed first among small schools (under 750 students), and placed tenth among all
schools.
The Chessnuts were coached by John Renze and Ray Schuman.

Quigley's Winning Chess Team
Quigley's chess season began October 26, 2004,
with a victory over St. Patrick. Over the course
of a long season against such schools as Brother Rice, St. Ignatius, Fenwick and St. Rita,
the Chessnuts
amassed a record of 25 wins and 5 losses. In their conference, Quigley had 14 wins
with only 1 loss,
earning them first place in the Chicago Chess Conference.
