'Seasons'
Like a flower
Love has its season
'Summer'
New love is found
One that has never been before seen
Happiness all around
Always kind and never mean
Bliss seems sure at this stage
To last forever
From youth to age
Like a flower
Love has its season
'Fall'
Love is tested will it survive?
Will it win?
Or will it be bested?
Just to die alone or stay alive?
When its peace you seek
And you are not yet over the peak
Like a flower
Love has its season
'Winter'
Love is lost
Disappeared without a trace
With all things cost
Gone!
Never again to be seen in this place
Did love not seem great?
Is this really loves fate?
Like a flower
Love has its season
'Spring'
New love is flowered
To it strength returns
Once again it is empowered
Within it
Passion burns
And with these passions that burn
Lovers must learn
That like a flower
Love has its season
And it is for these reasons
That love is truly like a flower
That grows through the season.
'Dark Void'
There was once
A full soul in this shell
But ever so slowly
Its turning dark
Becoming the abyss
Which I fear so
Interesting how this happens
Every pain
Every hardship
Makes a pinprick in your very essence
But after so long
Those holes gather
Until there is a gaping scar
This shell no
longer
Has a soul with a scar
But it has become
Merely a scar with the remains of a soul
No longer are the pinpricks longing for brothers and sisters
But now they are a glutinous monster, devouring all in its path
My heart is loosing not only the battle
But the war
I know not how
longer my heart can keep fighting
This war is a lost cause and I am going to lose
May the void be merciful on the one who has housed it
For if its not
I shall become part of which I fear.
'The Day Peace Was Shaken'
Seemingly just
another average day
Thoughts of 'Did I feed the cat?'
Or 'Am I going to receive my weekly pay?'
But the true question is
'Why did I go to work today?'
I didn't know as I drove my car to work
That tragedy, in my future did lurk
I rode the elevator to floor 69
While not knowing it was really my time
As the winged angel of death
To my floor did fly
I breathed my last breath
And asked God 'Why?'
We are the husbands, the daughters, the sons, and the wives
But none of that matters now
For today taken were our lives
Let today be known as the day peace was shaken
And the day that the beast of war was awakened
Let today be known as the day we entered Heaven
And most importantly
Let today forever be known as 9/11.
