Archbishop Quigley 2nd Annual Chess Tournament

Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary cordially
invites all 7th and 8th Grade boys to participate in its
annual Chess Tournament, hosted by the Chessnuts!

There will be two rounds of play.

In Round 1, all chess players will play against the computer, using the Chessmaster software. All students will play at the same time in Quigley's computer lab. All players will play at the same level, Novice.

After a half out of computer competition, the players with the best winning records will advance to round 2.

In Round 2, those players who have qualified will now play each other. This competition will take place in our library. Players will probably play a minimum of two and a maximum of three games. As the players advance through the competition, the winner of the whole competition will be that player who advances through to the final championship game and is the winner of this game.
Those who do not advance are free to use the computer lab and tour the school.
