There is no fee, but
pre-registration is required. |
| There will be two rounds of play: |
| In Round 1, all chess players will playagainst thec omputer, using the
software Chessmaster. All students will play at the same time in Quigley's Computer Lab.
All players will play at the same level, the Novice level. |
| After 1/2 hour of play against the
computer, the players with the best winning record will advance to Round 2. |
| In Round 2, those players who have qualified will now play each other.
This competition will take place in our library. Players will probably play a minimum of
two and a maximum of three games. As the players advance through the competition, the
winner of the whole competition will be that player who advances through to the final
championship game and is the winner of this game. Those who do not advance are free to use
the computer lab and tour the school. |
| As Round 2 competition continues,
those players who did not advance ino Round 2 are welcome to enjoy Archbishop Quigley's
computer lab and tour the school. |

We ask that you
register by phone, fax, e-mail, or regular mail by Fri., Dec. 3. We need to know how many
players to expect. |
