4th Annual Chess Tournament

Seventeen 7th & 8th graders participated in Archbishop Quigley's annual Chess Tournament. This tournament is hosted by Quigley's Conference Champs and All State Chess Team, the Chessnuts. For Round 1, all participants individually played against the computer, using the software Chessmaster. Those 8 players with the most wins during this 1/2 hour of play advanced to Round 2. In Round 2, these 8 players played double elimination against each other. These finalists were presented Chess Medallions for their 1st through 8th place finish. All players also received Certificates and genuine Quigley Water Bottles. One gets very thirsty playing Chess.
