The Summer Enrichment
Program is a two-week educational experience for boys currently in 6th and 7th grade. This
program offers a unique experience for young boys to experiment in areas of personal
interest in an exciting and challenging high school environment. The goal of the Summer
Enrichment Program is to encourage young men to enjoy the themselves in the area of
technology, academics, or sports.
The Summer Enrichment Program offers 24 different courses from which the participants will
take six courses per day, Monday through Friday. All students are encouraged to select 1
sports activity (maximum of 2 per day). We offer some of the most exciting and educational
events, that allow young adults discover Quigley as well as equip themselves with useful
knowledge.
Schedule:
Summer Enrichment 2005 will meet Monday through Friday,
from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students will take 6 courses per day. All students are
encouraged to select 1 sports activity (maximum of 2) per day. Students will be assigned
to courses based on their order of preference upon receipt of completed registration form
and deposit. While we will do our best to give each student his top choices, course
enrollment is limited in size, and course conflicts may also occur. Archbishop Quigley
reserves the right to change/delete courses if circumstances require. In addition to the
regular classes, there will be one or two field trips during the two week term.
Cost:
Early Bird Registration postmarked by
April 29: $130
Regular Registration postmarked by May 27: $150
Late Registration postmarked by June 9: $175
Checks should be made payable to Quigley Seminary.
Fee includes a designer Summer Enrichment T-shirt.
Students are asked to bring their own lunch.
Registration:
Use the enclosed registration form for Summer Enrichment
2005.
Registrations will not be processed until the $50 deposit is received.
Though not necessary, full payment may be made when you register.
When your registration is received, a postcard will be sent as confirmation.
Course Schedules and Bus/Van pickup locations will be mailed the week of June 13, 2005.
Payment Policy:
Full payment, including bus transportation, is
due by the first day of the session.
Transportation:
Bus/Van transportation will be provided for
Summer Enrichment 2005 at an additional cost of $30 per week. Transportation will service
the City of Chicago and the immediate suburbs. Students will be picked up from a parish
location close to their home. Archbishop Quigley is also easily accessible by CTA bus or
train and METRA. Students can purchase reduced fare CTA passes. Quigley is located on the
corner of Rush and Chestnut Streets, one half block west of the John Hancock Center and
Water Tower Place.
