The Cubs also got Kerry Wood and Mark Prior back but                                  NL Central                  1.Padres-  41  - 37 - 0

they both lost in their series debut.  On Monday, June 26                     1.Cardinals- 43 - 34 - 0             2.Dodgers-40  - 38 - 1

the Cubs sent to the mound Mad Dog, or Greg Maddux                       2.Reds-      43  - 36 - 1             3.Rockies- 40  - 38 - 1

and he didn't do so well.  Maddux gave up 5 earned runs                     3.Brewers- 40   - 40 - 4.5          4.Giants-   40  - 38 - 1

over 7 innings pitched and his record is now 7-8 after starting              4.Astros-    38   - 41 - 6             5.D'Backs- 37  - 42 - 4.5

out 6-0. On Tuesday, June 27 the Cubs took a 1 run lead into             5.CUBS- 29  - 49  - 14.5

the ninth when Ryan Dempster gave up 3 runs because of Ronny        6. Pirates-  27  -  53  - 17.5
