    Archbishop Quigley Preparatory Seminary is proud to be hosting its Eighth Annual Math and Science Competition.  We are inviting each Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Chicago with students to participate in this fun and exciting competition.   Students may register individually by mailing or e-mailing Quigley directly or through their school as a group through their teacher.  Registration packets are being sent out to all 6th & 7th grade Catholic Elementary School teachers.
    There is no fee, but advanced registration is requested.  Please register by Friday, February 13.   Top 10 students from each grade will be presented with medals.  All students will receive Certificates of Participation.  Lunch will be served for $3.00.   There will be FREE PARKING at Holy Name Cathedral (Chicago and State).  (Continue to scroll down for more info)

SPECIAL LUNCH - $3.00 (Hot Dog, Pop, & Chips)

The competition is for any individual student who wishes to participate.  This test has a very simple format: a written exam of multiple choice and problem-solving questions.  Duration of the exam will be approximately one hour and a half.  We will have an Awards Assembly where the top 10 students with the highest combined score at each grade level receiving a Medal of Excellence.

After the exam, as you wait for the results, the fun will continue.   You will have over one hour to use our computer lab, play basketball in the gym, or enjoy our indoor swimming pool.  If you plan on using the gym, you will need gym shoes.  Don't forget to bring trunks and a towel if you plan to swim.

There are two ways to register:
    1)  Talk to your Catholic School junior high math or science teacher, who will be mailed all information and registration forms.
    2)  Individually by mail, fax (312-787-9167), or e-mail with all requested information to Mr. Marcus Mudd (Associate Director of Admissions and Competition Coordinator) at mmudd@quigley.org

  • All Students must compete on an individual basis.
  • This competition is limited to 6th and 7th grade boys.
  • There is no limit as to the number of students participating from any one school.
  • There will be a 6th grade exam and a 7th grade exam.
  • The exam begins at 9:00 AM.
  • Students may use calculators but no other resource material will be allowed.
  • No partial credit will be given on the multiple choice section.
  • All scores will be tallied and ranked according to combined totals.
  • No section scores will be given.
  • All participants will receive a certification of participation.
  • The top 10 participants with the highest combined score at each grade level, will receive a medals of excellence.
