ASIA:  Asian American Student Organization.  This organization promotes the Asian American culture and sponsors a number of events throughout the year.

Cathedral Servers:   Due to Archbishop Quigley's proximity to the Holy Name Cathedral, students are asked to serve.   Students who are experienced Mass servers are invited to serve Mass at Holy Name Cathedral, especially on major feast days and holidays.

Chessnuts:   The name of the Quigley Chess Club is CHESSNUTS.  We are members of the Chicago Chess Conference which has 14 teams divided into two divisions.  We play in the North Division. The club attempts to teach the game to members who have not played the game before and also to improve the skills of those who already know the game.  Only the top five players can represent Quigley in inter-school play so competition for the top spots is intense. Chorus:  The Concert Choir is a one semester, Sophomore level course where students are introduced to singing in a choir.  The Advanced Concert Choir is for upper classmen, and meets three times a week after school to practice.  The Choir sings at the weekly Community Liturgies, which are every Thursday.

Classics Club:  The Classics Club gathers to promote Latin, Greek, and Mythology.  The student members belong to the Societas Honoris Classica (Classical Honor Society), the Illinois Junior Classical League, and the National Junior Classical League.  The club does a number of activities throughout the year such as visiting museums or hosting classical movie parties.  The club also participates in various interscholastic contests throughout the year.

L.A.S.O.:  Latin American Seminarians Organization.  This organization promotes Latin culture and sponsors a number of events throughout the year.  These include special lunch sales and an annual dance.

Liturgical Ministers:  Weekly liturgy is an important part of student life at Quigley.  Students are selected for various liturgical roles, including: Lectors, Servers, and Eucharistic Ministers.

Mathletes:  A group of students who take monthly math exams as part of Mathematics Teacher's Association contests.

N.H.S: The National Honor Society has a chapter at Quigley.  Membership in the National Honor Society is both an honor and a responsibility.  Students selected for membership exhibit outstanding qualities of scholarship, service, leadership, and character attributes essential to citizens in a democracy.

Polish Club:  A group of students meet monthly to promote the Polish culture. The Moderator is Dr. Napiwocki. The President is Junior Michael Gomulka and the Secretary-Treasurer is Sophomore Mark Regula.

Recruitment Club:  At  Quigley, we encourage grammar school students to see what Quigley is really like in our "Quigley In Action Days."  The Club function acts as hosts to various recruitment activities.

School Play:  Quigley sponsors a yearly Spring Musical.  Students perform in the play or assist as members of the stage crew.  Girls from local high schools are invited to also try out for the musical.  Past Musicals have included:  Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, Godspell, Oliver, West Side Story, and Jesus Christ Superstar. 

Science Club:  The science club has undertaken experiments in electricity, DNA extraction from cells, the ComEd Student Power 2000 program, microphotography, and Drosophila genetic crosses.

Speech Team:  This team competes against other schools in areas of prose, poetry, and drama.

Student Senate:   Members of the Student Senate are elected by their classmates to function as their representatives.  Each class has four representatives who are voted into office.  The president for 2000-2001 is Senior Matt Walsh, and Vice-President is Junior John Bolanos.

Students of the Cenacle:  A group of students who gather in prayer every Thursday after school.

Summer Learning Program:  Two fun filled weeks during the summer, for 5th through 8th graders to see what Quigley is all about.   It is perfect, if you are trying to make the high school decision.

Talon:  The school's monthly newspaper is called the Talon.  It is the place for the students to voice their opinion, and it covers news about the school.

U.B.S.:  United Black Seminarians is a multiracial, multi-issue organization.  We are working to move the school and the world toward social and racial justice.  We are an organization that serves as a forum for African American students at Quigley, but allows non-African Americans who are sympathetic to our cause to join.  Through this, we are uniting people of diverse racial, ethnic, and economic backgrounds to make Quigley's promise of "ethnic unity" a reality. 

W.Y.S.E:  WYSE, Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering (formerly JETS) is an academic competition throughout the state of Illinois.  The areas of competition are: English, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Fundamentals, and Engineering Graphics. The WYSE competitions are divided in the 3 divisions: A, AA, and AAA (AAA are schools with enrollment under 300).  Quigley participates in the AAA division.  The competitions are sectional, regional, and state finals. Our team has historically taken the sectional and regional with a 1st or 2nd place and always qualifies for the State Finals.

Yearbook:  A way to remember Quigley.  Students photograph different events and then write articles to accompany them.  Anyone can join in the fun.
