The baseball team travels to sunshine state

If there's no better time to play baseball than when the sun is shining, then there's no better place to be than in the sunshine state, Florida, to "Play ball!"; and that's exactly what the Phoenix did in April.

During Easter week, the Quigley baseball team escaped Chicago's snow by heading to Cocoa Beach, Florida to play games at the city's Baseball Expo Center. The week included six games and a trip to Universal Studios.

A big thank you to Barbara Mildice – widow of Joseph Mildice, Q'50, who died in February, 2001 – for sponsoring the trip. Joseph loved sports and Quigley. A plaque will be hung in the gym area bearing Joseph's name.
