    The final wrestling team in Quigley history started out with four people, all seniors.  Only Ricardo Torres has wrestled all four years.  Ricky started his Freshman year wrestling at the 215 weight class.  After four years of hard work and dieting, he wrestled his first meet at 189, and wrestled the rest of the season at 171.  The only other person who had wrestled before was Nick Arguelles.  Newcomers included seniors Jesús Jiménez and Juan Mendez.  The team reached eleven members for a total of one day, but only five strong members survived the whole season.  The fifth member was the only underclassman, Sophomore Gabriel Avalos, the Heavyweight.   After a tough season, the wrestlers finished the season on February 3rd at the Lisle Regionals.  Seniors Nick Arguelles and Juan Mendez advanced by placing third and traveled down to Plano on February 10 where there season ended.  The final wrestling team in Quigley history was one that was small, but powerful, and with the guidance of Coach Andres Cuadra (AQPS '00) and Tim O'Malley (AQPS'00).  These were the tough five members that stuck through the whole season.
