Michael O'Leary


"I love giving back to those who have helped me through every point in my life."

Michael O'Leary is currently a senior at Archbishop Quigley. He. is both a valued part of the school community as well as an excellent student.

Within his academic life, his favorite class if philosophy. He believes that this class covers all human understanding, and covers topics in many fields of the mind including love and wisdom. He also enjoys many areas of music. He often plays the cello, piano, guitar, and sings for many school gatherings and concerts. Outside of school, he is a member of the National Honors Society, Student Senate, and is an important member of the Quigley golf team.

Throughout his years, both Quigley and his grade sc
hool, St. Cornelius, have taught him to value all aspects of life. In his opinion, personal friends are an important character value. He stated that &Your group of friends speak volumes of who you are as a person- friends at Quigley sometimes know you better than you know yourself. They are the ones that guide you through life, challenge you, and inspire you.

Michael is the youngest child of six who has very close ties with his family. Each month, he partakes in family gatherings to keep his parents and siblings in contact and continue to keep close relations with them. When asked, his inspirations included God, family, teachers, and music.

When asked, Michael said that his favorite aspect of Quigley was the unity of faith in the community, and the relationship opportunities that can be developed with anyone and everyone. Currently Michael is open to many careers in his life, but is still waiting to find his vocation and seek what God has called him to become in his life.

When giving advice to the incoming freshmen in the future, Mike stated that the best way to become involved with the community of Quigley and lead a positive life is to work hard for what you believe, dream of achieving any goal you put to mind, play, and to pray that God help everyone around us.
